Computer Access

Welcome to the Krapohl Senior Center Computer Lab.
Our computer lab is available every day during regular business hours for classes, individual tutoring lessons or open-lab time.

Drop in to type and print letters, surf the Internet, play games, or practice what you have learned in one of our many classes.

There are 5  computers available for your needs.
They are all connected to the Internet via a cable modem (that means faaaast!) and loaded with a wide variety of software from Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher to Pagemaker and greeting card designers.

The computer lab is open for individual use whenever no classes or special events are scheduled.
Please call the front-desk prior to coming to the center to make sure a computer is available for your use.

Rules for computer lab use

• You may not install any software on these computers
• You may not download anything without a tutor being present
• You may not save files on these computers. If you would like to save your files, you may bring a disk or purchase one at the front-desk.
• Volunteers will be around to assist you with any questions and problems you might encounter while using the computers. However, please do not consider this a One-on-One Class. If your problems are too extensive and require too much of the volunteer's time to solve them, we will attempt to create a special class related to this issue.

High – Speed Internet for fast downloads
With a tutor or member of the Krapohl Center staff present, you may download files from the Internet and have them burned on a CD to take home with you. Our computers are connected to the internet through a cable – modem. This means fast!! Instead of tying up your phone-line at home for hours, stop by the center and download any file in less than 10 minutes. There will be a $3 charge to cover cost of CD-Roms and Burner.
