Krapohl Oktoberfest Festivities

 

 

 

 

Oktoberfest Krapohl Style

            The first Oktoberfest was held in the year 1810 in honor of the Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig’s marriage to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. The festivities began on October 12, 1810 and ended on October 17th with a horse race.

tapping of the first bottle of beer.  (The Oktoberfest beer is a strong “bock” beer brewed specially for the occasion.  (sorry only non-alcoholic beer will be served)  Apple cider for the non beer drinkers

A traditional German meal Currywurst, Pommes (french fries), and cabbage salad.

Make your own costume or buy one but come to the center dressed in your finest Halloween costume.  Prizes will be awarded for the funniest and the most original costume.

Veteran Day Celebration

 

Veterans are invited to attend a special program commemorating their service to this country

Lunch of Hotdogs, baked beans, potato salad and apple pie

Cost:  a Donation to the Veteran Christmas stocking program

            Items (smallest size possible or sample size) to include such things as: toothpaste, note pads, Rolaids, pencils, music tapes, shampoo, hair conditioner, combs, barrettes, denture cream, etc
